Un-freakin' real. In the future, joint operational commanders will look up at the board, see an LCS and know it brings little or no value and keep it out of the way so it doesn't get itself hurt, or put an operation at risk. Unless that operation is so permissive-threat that it doesn't matter.

Did u happen to catch the latest interview quotes on LCS from the under secretary of USN?
The apparent paradigm now is to put a redesigned LCS-2 in Pacific theater (apparently being redesigned now to improve dedicated ASW role) and place the LCS-1 -- with shorter range and less capable rough-seas handling -- as a separate, dedicated, 'anti-swarm' class hull assigned primarily to gulf ops.
So with 2 distinct classes of ships now being the official justification and requirement, perhaps it's time to learn from lessons, on how not to do an acquisition Process and accelerate a clean-sheet plan with stopgaps to cover?
Or possibly just cut the LCS-1 after 8 +/- hulls and enhance the LCS-2 in 2 general configurations as the continued hull? (Joint-built with LMT for increased build rate?)
Re the stopgap... contract Turkey for FFG-7 refurb to the modernized G standard, as force-multiplying escort hulls?
