Scaremongering. What is described is something the F-35 cannot do:
“Would you want the enemy to see your son or daughter pilot 100 miles out, or would you rather they fly unseen into a mission, accomplish a mission and be back before anyone even knows they’ve been there?”

The question I have is how will USAF and USN deal with a future foe that has VLO on par with that of the export friendly F-35? How will the US detect said stealthy hostile threats before we even knew what hit us? Or will the US come up with a system that can counter such emerging stealthy capabilities in order to better detect such threats?
Something tells me the US would not just sit around and throw in the towel... it might be enough of a concern to develop counter measures.
