I was up NY way in around 1985 when a group of dedicated government employees were sent to "investigate" sources of bad contract performance on an Air Force trainer. As it turned out, they had the answer before they got there. It was then necessary to justify the answer, and they were very thorough. Heck, they were running white gloved fingers in the kitchen vents and saying shame shame. Make no mistake about it. This IG project is meant to dig up dirt. What will the powerful interests do with the filth?
