$1B to prepare RAAF Williamtown for troubled F-35 aircraft

Today the Australian Prime Minister visited RAAF Williamtown air base north of Newcastle, New South Wales to highlight military construction in preparation for the troubled F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

The Australian taxpayer will need to hand over $1B in order to make RAAF Williamtown suitable for the aircraft.

The F-35 program has a long, troubled history which indicates that it will be too expensive to own and operate and provide no value. It is also likely to get shot down in combat.

Australia's entrenched defence bureaucracy has been grounded for years with rampant incompetence and failure.

Also for years, independent experts have warned our elected officials about the extreme risk of the F-35 program.

Back in 2002, the Australian government selected the F-35, based on no credible risk assessment or other practical studies.
