Bogdan on F-35 ALIS, “We are way behind. We are way behind.”

General Bogdan, the DOD F-35 project manager, has decided that he does not want to be a witness for the prosecution when all of this falls down. He is warning us about the F-35.

He is providing just enough effort to look like the friendly Dutch uncle.

His management of the KC-X program is mentioned in passing. After he left that job, USAF announced to Congress that they blew out sustainment assumptions on the KC-46 by $10B.

The sustainment management system for the F-35 known as ALIS does not work. That was true last year.

It is true today.

That and so many other aircraft systems are in the same bucket.
