One would hope that someone with such alleged topic knowledge on Defence would know something about fantasy arms programs.

I guess not.

And the decision to aim for 100 JSFs did not take into account the fact that the jets were far more capable than those they were to replace and so fewer could be needed.

There is no "fact" that the JSF is "far more capable" than the aircraft they replace. And, certainly not at any price.
