Becauase ... not coming in on schedule, under budget, with a superweapon that clears the skies simply by opening the hangar bay doors is simply unthinkable!!!
Maybe there should be less faith and a little more analytical performance.
Reminds me of what Canadian Defence Minister Peter MacKay said when asked what would happen when an F-35's single engine quits while over the Arctic tundra:
"It won't."

Two engine with single engine failure = some chance. One engine with failure = no chance.
Not a fan of single engine aircraft operating over water.
