Latest F-35 "fast facts" from LM still show over-optimism

There is some interesting general information here, so; worth the read. One of the most unbelievable statements is that they are still pushing the $65mil figure per jet. Also, given what we know, the production numbers are unrealistic.

Italy, Netherland, Norway, Denmark are all in great doubt, due to European banking crisis.

Canada already sign. Australia is in debate. Turkey depends on diplomacy, but probably move along. UK is making very drastic cut.

I really doubt Air Force will keep pouring money on F-35 much longer. The minute Pak-Fa drop weapons and able to show its high mach performance, then air force has to go back to drawing board. F-35 is a no go.

Observation: The published empty weight of the STOVL has gone up 300 lbs since the last public L/M admission. Subtract that from your last vertical landing bringback weight.
