Stop the Australian far-flung war cheerleaders

It is impressive how glory hounds, budget rent-seekers and failed strategists keep wanting to extort more taxpayer dollars for military deployments on the other side of the world.

Wonder what motivates the cries from the alleged Defence intelligentsia in regard to Operation: USELESS DIRT far far away?

It is their job. Their job which depends on our taxpayer dollars. Sustain failed missions because there is still money to be made by suppliers.

Our tiny military does not need to send anything to the other side of the world. They need to do proper, robust, exercises in the local region to deal with...regional security needs.

This is: working with Indonesia, Singapore and the regional small island nations. Malaysia and the Philippines being extreme long distance.

Our small expert forces in land sea and air operations have plenty of work to do in this region which makes our defence posture stronger. Along with, a smaller defence budget.

The countries mentioned would appreciate this increased attention to regional security.

We need to take the Middle East and South-West Asia expeditionary warfare fanatics and heap scorn on their ideas at every turn possible.

What have the Middle-East and South-West Asia operations bought us:

40 Killed in Action.
262 Wounded in Action.
247 (approximate) Dead from post deployment suicide.
Many others in unreported long-term physical and mental injury.

For...no...victory.

Of interest, the federal budget spend is about $12B per year for Veteran Affairs.
