Handguns don't win wars.
With that, over the next 2 years, the Glock 19 is going to be integrated into the SEAL teams.
It makes sense for weight, carry and just generally working with minimal fuss.
There is no need to carry bigger pistols when you have to carry so much other stuff into the field.
This just makes it 'official'. Glocks have already been involved in various U.S. military efforts. SEALs in the past, have had individual preference to carry what they want for a side-arm. Don't know if that is still allowed. If it is still current practice, who-all carries the Glock 19 would be variable.
