Australia's F-35 industry rip-off

Wow. Sucks to be a "JSF Partner Nation" vs. U.S. Foreign Military Sales (where you can use real seller/buyer language).

Just a reminder of how Australia's hopes and dreams on F-35 work-share went bad.

How is Israel (both an FMS customer and recipient of $3B per year in U.S. taxpayer defense assistance) doing?

TEL AVIV, Israel — Israeli firms have received 3 billion shekels ($770 million) worth of work from Lockheed Martin Corp. as part of an industrial cooperation package associated with Israel's purchase of F-35I stealth fighters, the Israeli Defense Ministry announced Sunday.

"The amount of offsets from the producer of the stealth fighter to the Israeli defense industry has reached a record 3 billion shekels," the Ministry announced Dec. 20.

Let us say that Australian benefits get to $500M (Australian). Currently it is in the high-400's.  That in U.S. is $358M...vs. $770M for Israel.

The Australian Entrenched Defence Bureaucracy are incompetent when it comes to finding value for our money. When will this be fixed?
