Japan Sub blah, blah

The reporter must have been asleep the day they were teaching this: editorializing when "reporting" is a sin.

"...whose Soryu is widely seen as the best submarine of its type.."

What does that actually mean? Of its type? It could mean anything. Like it is the best submarine of its type to work in Japanese waters.

Besides matching the range and endurance of the Collins Class, the new generation of subs are expected to offer superior sensor performance and stealth capabilities.

Range? Really? Which sub is holding the short end of the stick here?

Good grief.
