Description: The BAE Systems Information & Electronic Warfare Systems (IEWS) JSF EW, also known as the AN/ASQ-239, is a low cost, lightweight, electronic warfare suite designed for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) supersonic, stealth, attack aircraft. The system provides situational awareness and self-protection through next generation countermeasures, monitoring, analysis and threat identification.
BAE Systems delivered the first 185-pound JSF EW system to Lockheed-Martin for testing in August 2004. Evaluation onboard the Lockheed-Martin's Cooperative Avionics Testbed (CATB) began in 2005.
"My JSF is stealthier than yours, or is it?" Important as this kit has to be programmable to meet export-friendly worries. Given the now over $900M spent on Delta-SDD contracts for various 'partner configurations'.
How is your 2001 PC doin' these days?
Ditto for DAS.
