changes from Lot 9 plan, US a/c 2015 LRIP-9--
A 28 --> 44
B 6 --> 9
C 4 --> 2
total US 38 --> 55
total foreign 23 --> 39
comment
The LRIP # is not specified which is unusual. The plan was for Australia to buy none this year, ten turkeys in FY2016.
FY2015 funds are obligated, but the award says "..expected to be completed in May 2019."
Bogdan has said he wants to issue a "block buy" (multi-year in disguise) contract this summer for three years, for 150 planes total. This buy totals 94.
Therefore this looks like an amorphous multi-LP-lot plan.
--So let's see what the news reports say and then we can look at the specific numbers.
May 2019!! --A month after Milestone C, BTW. Four years. hmmmm

* UPDATE *

Don Bacon

This was posted above (in a flash) before I edited it --Good!
The plan was for Australia to buy none this year, eight [not ten] turkeys in FY2016. There are 8 in this award for Oz.

Also
Note this is (almost a billion dollars) for long lead time items (LLT).
Some later end item contracts in the past have been less than the
LLT quantities.
The news & tweets haven't picked it up yet.
