AIM-9X Block II

The AIM-9X Block II will help F-35 survivability some with lock-on-after launch (LOAL). Also, where after launch, the firing aircraft can send the missile little update blurbs.

Even if it would still be external-carry-only for the mistake-jet.

AIM-9X Block II, with its LOAL and post-launch networking could help out the F-22 some. Although it doesn't have a proper helmet cueing system, it can fire these from internal carry. Heck, it might even get a proper helmet...before retirement.

The F-35 has a cueing helmet that might work. The F-22 can carry AIM-9 internally.

The real truth of "5th-generation" fighter aircraft.

As for aircraft that do most of the work (and also have a proper HOBS helmet), this Block II missile will make the F-15, F-16, F-18 and Harrier, even more deadly.
