What can be said about the LM IRST pod/fuel tank for the Navy Super Hornet to ride on the centerline that hasn't been said already?

LM never misses an opportunity to sell something. Marketed now as a 500lb pod with the name: Legion.

This story says that USAF is looking at the IRST capability for the F-15 and F-16, but they have been looking at it for awhile.

A similar sensor fit has already shown up on Aggressor F-16s on the right-cheek. The Legion pod will probably have better sensor integration.
