Take the time to read through all this blather by folks that will use 10 empty or undefined words or phases when 3 of the direct kind will do.

Not impressed.

What kind of security concerns will Australia have out to 2035?

1. The number one problem, is a dysfunctional Entrenched Defence Bureaucracy that acts as an enemy fifth column: screwing up so many defence programs that it is as good as enemy sabotage. Over many years.

2. Along with #1 above, a government that continues to find new ways to bilk the taxpayer and small business, including those in government who are happy to look after themselves and rort the system: as a career path ethos. This beats down our economy. Without a healthy economy there is no money to buy defence toys. In other words, various flavours of government corruption.

3, Energy resources that will only last about a month if a war breaks out.

4. Regional players that will have weapons capability (and training to use them) that out-strip any of our land, sea and air forces. Note this is item 4, but we are well on the way to this becoming real.


How Australia wakes up to this, or if it wakes up to this set of problems will determine what "strategy" we can employ.
