Instead of a new long range bomber, I would prefer qualifying the carry of the Tomahawk Block 4 on the B-52. Even though USAF has JASSM, this would make it more versatile.
I would also like to see the JASSM and JASSM-ER go to the aircraft carrier. They did after all, start captive-carry tests with the Super Hornet before the Navy ducked out to help pay for Operation:USELESS DIRT.
I don't have any confidence in spending on a sub-sonic stealth bomber that will get detected by modern IADS, run down, and killed...at an outrageous price per airframe.
I would like to see Tomahawk Block 4s launched from a C-17, 747 or 777.
Other: I want to see the services get serious about UCLAS-N and Avenger UCAVs. Both of these as land and sea-based platforms offer real production of DMPI's hit-per-day and of course ISR. Even as go there and drop this weapon and return devices, they offer value.
