It is a sweet ride. It has been brought into question before that this is too much helicopter to do initial training with. Given all of the other ADF procurement goof ups, this should appear to be normal on the class curve.
This would make a useful path to get the Australian Army set up with the Eurocopter UH-72 Lakota. This would take advantage of teaming with the U.S. Army for training and support. And, at some point in time, be a better investment than the disasters known as the Tiger and MRH-90.
If we are going to spend money on helicopters and the ADF refuses to see any value in the Huey family... etc... etc...
