Several Beaufort organizations are hosting an arrival celebration Friday for VMFAT-501, the F-35 training squadron assigned to Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, according to a news release.
The free celebration will be from 6 to 9 p.m. in Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park. It will feature the Parris Island Marine Band, fireworks and a patriotic ceremony, in addition to games and prizes, a clown and refreshments.
Forward-thinking with the clown given the current status of the program.
