Canberra-class sea trial results



Sea trials are a time to learn about a completely new ship. And, mistakes will be made.

Here is an article on the new Canberra-class that looks at some of the problems.

I can cut them some slack on that.

Of some concern is this:

In addition to the serious errors, excessive corrosion was detected in propeller nuts and a small crack was discovered in the hull of the ship that was caused during its long journey on a barge from the builder in Spain.

Hopefully that will get all fixed up.
