The F-35B design is leaking fuel

The internal fuel capacity of the F-35B STOVL aircraft design has sprung a leak.

2010 LM Brief - 14,000lbs of fuel:



Next... a 2013 UK brief (based on LM 2012 figures) - 13,500lbs of fuel.



Now, today, LM website - 13,100lbs of fuel.




How this aircraft will meet its combat radius specified in the operational requirement document will be interesting to see.

To be fair, the F-35C, which is overweight 15 percent compared to its 2002 design configuration, has lost 800 pounds of internal fuel carry since 2010.
