Always been interested in a remake of the F-16-XL.
Many years ago I looked up while walking to lunch and saw one in the pattern.
I would be interested in how this aircraft would have conducted close air support in the permissive-air environment that was the Afghanistan campaign.
Its Cold War design gave it the possibility for a lot of hard-points so it could carry a lot of small munitions today.
It would be interesting to see how much range and loiter it could do while carrying a lot of small munitions.
Would it have been a good compliment to the A-10 and drones?
