Take the 55 minutes to watch this video. It is about an aircraft program that was poorly managed, had unrealistic requirements (that were later lowered) went over budget, had serious problems. Assembly started with an award for a batch of "pre-production" aircraft. There was no true prototype. Assembly line setups started early based on little to no learning curve because there was no quantity of robust flight testing. Marketing to be used to counter critics did not work. In the end it was cancelled.
