F-35B strikes tank with GBU-12.
Well, it came close to the tank and it was an inert warhead.
Still, good to see the F-35 approach a capability that we have had for over 40 years.
Scripted range events are fun.
Other challenges for the sea services are that no one has shown how to do an F-35B engine change aboard ship. Today, there is still no proof that the F-35C can trap aboard an aircraft carrier.
Yet, DOD wants to buy more F-35s.
