Tiger helo "combat damage".... expensive and time consuming repair

Is the ADF's troubled and insanely expensive Tiger attack helicopter a paper tiger? It seems so resistant to combat damage that a fix for a "small hole, took $162,681.63 and a 4 month grounding.
