Election for next month

The leftist Australian Prime Minister has declared that there will be an election next month.

The following should give you a good snapshot of events.

While I may not agree with a Labor government, my problem is less with the idea of that party than the behaviour demonstrated since 2007. I don't have a problem with a party as long as they don't do incredibly destructive things.

Here is what this leftist (many corrupt union hacks) Labor government has done thus far:

-Brought in an anti-business carbon tax which was justified on junk science and...a hate for business. When the Soviet union fell, many of their sympathizers found a new reason to carry their hammer and sickle flag.

-Demonizing mining. Look around Australia, if it were not for mining, the country would not have had the growth it had before 2007. The idea of Labor was to represent the working class. Now? Government is the solution and the dole is the goal. And, thus have tried to kill this cash cow.

-Increasing taxes to support a collectivist Soviet style government planning model. If this is not dangerous, I do not know what is.

-Boats. Look a map of Australia, little of it has the water needed to support anything bigger than its' current population. With that, Labor has decided they know better. No matter if Howard was not a great thinker, his boat policy worked. The leftists scrapped that policy and now we suffer an intake of people that may or may not be desirable and, is, unsustainable. Note; it says right on the citizenship form that you will abide by Australian culture and values. Maybe those values need to erase a religious dependence on government.

Take immigrants; only if they qualify and no queue-jumping. Part 2? Australia should rule itself. Not, the corrupt U.N.

This problem has also caused a huge funding short-fall where money has to come out of Defence, DFAT, AFP, and others. Everybody is now joined in Operation:HAPPY TAXI.

No matter if the country moves forward and keeps the status quo arrangement or stops the boats, it will need at least $3B per year to take care of the influx of people and, even more to buy more patrol boats, aircraft and sustain safe people movement and housing costs.

-Defence. Because of the red nature of the current government, they have clipped Defence funding to pay for other bad experiments in socialism. In part this is not a bad thing because the entrenched Defence bureaucracy is incompetent on a large measure. If the opposition wins the next election, they also have no practical plan for Defence. For both parties, it is: rort the system and sustain rent-seeking. Nether understand anything to do with providing a proper Defence.

-All of Labors efforts have taken what was a budget surplus and now we are hundreds of billions in debt with repeat deficit spending. Running out of other peoples money and all that.

This country is not Greece yet, however, unless things change, national debt has just passed 10,000ft and is setting up for cruise-climb to that altitude.

This has to be stopped.
