Comfort castles

This article also made it to The Age.

To review (again), multiple problems:

1. Percent of GDP as a measure of what should be in the Defence budget is valueless in an entitlement society in serious debt.
2. None of the fast jet options are of value.
3. We as taxpayers are handing over enough money for Defence. The problems are wasteful programs and comfort castles for too many flag ranks and SES.
