Bare-sea-bland-attle

Air-sea-land-battle has its' own office. In the old Navy this would just be a very good staff of a skilled admiral that did other things too...like proper staff-planning of ship and aircraft maintenance...within existing budgets.

Instead we get this collection of platitude that does not really mean much in an era of parked combat ships, aircraft and other resources because senior leadership is unable to live within their means. Other services are guilty of the same thing. 930 admirals and generals should provide some kind of value?

Not so far. Big Navy goals are finding the best left-handed, under-water basket-weaver instead of taking care of real sailors. Join the Navy; expect discrimination. Again, other services have similar problems.

The other marketing meme, the "Pacific Pivot" can be summarized by an ill-advised and faulty Littoral Combat Ship deployment to Singapore.

To be fair, the Navy has a good sense of humor.
