The beginning of the end

Interesting.

F-22 basing is expected to be finalized following the delay of the move of a combat-coded squadron from Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., to Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla. The move was planned in fiscal 2013 but was put on hold, and then ultimately delayed a year, after Congress put a complete freeze on the service’s force structure changes.

Because this move would remove the dog-year hour credits for periodic maintenance the jet gets for being in a dry environment.

As for pushing F-15C/Ds to a near 50 year service life out to 2030 and the Just So Failed...we have a situation where the combat capability planning of the USAF is now officially doomed.

A catastrophic Tacair implosion?

Very very unfortunate, if true.

And totally unnecessary too, given the absolutely Massive... and let's get that straight... absolutely Massive base Defense appropriations budget.

Who else in the world other than the USAF, as sad as that is, could seriously blow the kind of unprecedented worldwide procurement appropriations since FY98, to purchase so little recapitalization!?!

Dear SecDEF, sir, where is the accountability?

God speed.
