I thought the Stryker vs. BTR-60 was pretty interesting but the guy lost me when he compared a M1 Abrams to a T55 and said the T55 was better. Yeah, tell that to all those Iraqis T72 that got wasted by the M1....
As an aside, if you needed infantry fire support. many other tanks best the M-1 because of the U.S. Army's lack of ability to field a common HE 120mm round.
Dont forget that American M-1s' had American crews, American support, and the American Army backing them up,, the T72s didnt. Not that Tanks are only made for taking on other tanks.
That was the Army of old. Operation:USELESS DIRT 1 and 2 has cut funding to the traditional arms artillery, armor etc. so as to have money to run patrols and kick down doors. And, OEF started 10 years ago. That and a Stryker-centric brigade thinking along with lower unit readiness inspection results doesn't look so good.

They are just comparisons of basic numbers.

FWIW, I am all for 'kicking down doors' with M1's.....
