U.S. Marketing Corps II

This kind of history revisionism might be funny except that the mention of the V-22 doesn't bring up the inconvenient truth that a USMC officer falsified maintenance records.

The retired marketeer presses on about "fixing" the 2 year Gates-ordered F-35B probation but doesn't mention the fact that a clueless Panetta was pushed to pull a year off. At the time, the SASC was not happy. because they were never consulted.

The author then waves away F-35 problems pushing the meme that it is just another defense program that has the usual difficulty.

Credit goes to one question in this quote. Guess which one?

Rather than rushing to cut the F-35 over technical hiccups, we should be asking strategic questions about the program and our broader acquisitions plan: Do we need this capability? How many and when? How do we make sure the program is well-managed and cost-effective?

Well, I will go ahead and fix it up for him: "Do we need this alleged capability?"

I like that calling US Marketing Corp instead of Marine.
