Operation: PONZI FREEDOM

The outright deception continues:

We will continue to drop the price of the airplane out to approximately 2020 where the US government estimate is for an airplane, with the engine and all mission equipment, to be approximately $US67 million ($A66 million)," he said.

"That is better than any fourth generation fighter out there today in terms of cost."

Yet, all these claims are being made about an aircraft nowhere near having final go-to-war mission systems.

Lets say that the low, low price of US$67 is somehow attainable, and included go to war systems and an egine. Unlikely, I know, but lets say thats possible through economies of scale, wouldnt those economies apply to any other aircraft with a similar sized purchase? Either way, as the panic over sequestration shows, the cost of purchasing an aircraft , however low, pales in importance to rather you will be able to afford to keep that aiircraft in the air, train with it, and God forbid, go to war with it.
