DOD personnel--the numbers

Civilian:

The ratio of officers to enlisted has gone from 1:10 to 1:5 in the past 50 years, we have more flag officers now (1.5m under arms) than we did in WWII (13m under arms), and we treat our generals like f%$#ing rock stars, with dozens of people assigned to each to drive them around, mow their lawns, clean their houses, do their laundry, etc., and I am referring to generals stationed at home.

It's insans.
