Alternate reality for admiral's club

The Royal Navy boss says air power from the sea is important.

Too bad he lives in an alternate reality where there are only a handful of active ships and there is little hope of the RN becoming bigger.

Britain's aircraft carriers are crucial to its future as an effective global power, the First Sea Lord has warned.

What, "future as an effective global power"? The patient is bleeding out and it is just a matter of a few years before the doctor signs the death certificate.

Along with that, the two aircraft carriers the UK wants have a very high risk of becoming overly expensive helicopter carriers because of massive F-35 risks.

The guy is all dressed up and doesn't really have anything of a Navy to lead.

What would interest me is how he would explain the admiral-to-ship ratio. That would complete this discussion of ineffective naval roadmaps of the world very well indeed.

Are they trying to catch up with the ratio of Admirals in the RAN?
