Truly it does not meet the smell test. Starting with this statement:
"and three aircraft variants of which Canada has chosen the least complex and most affordable."
Lockmart has been working on the F-35 for the last 15 years and has yet to build a battle ready flying example but hey, the CTOL is the "least" complex. Please ignore the 18 million total lines of code needed and the 150 extra programers now being hired to try and finish the needed work by 2016.
$350 million in contracts will equal one and and a half F-35's at the current going price, hilarious!
And five+ years late does not translate to flying on schedule.
