Filed in "I" for "impossible"

The definition of a non-starter?

There is a long way between honor killings and other gross misdeeds and let us say, the first ammendment of the United States.

Or the 4th and 5th ammendment for that matter.

Forget it.

A world government would be an unmitigated disaster.

The first principle of risk management is don't put all your eggs in one basket. Imagine what an Adolf Hitler, Joe Stalin or Mao Tse Tung could do with a single world government. The death camps and gulags would stretch as far as the eye could see. Also note that only Hitler was removed from power from an alliance of external nations. In a single world government - such entities do not exist. Also with modern tech for monitoring human activity - revolution would be easy to snuff out.

We would be better served by dispersal of political authority into separate nation states - even the risk of war is a better option than the certainty of unchecked tyranny.

I think we all have to hope that hubris will kick in early when the Greens feel the full glow of their new found power. Pray that they get so carried away forcing through their 'watermelon' policies upon the 87% of us who didn't vote for them that enough of the 13% who did will see them for what they are and consign them to history.

Judging by Brown's speech to the National Press Club, the old truism about power corrupting and absolute power corrupting absolutely seems to be holding true.
