OK, so it might not be IED or RPG resistant but gosh darn, it sure is cute.

Entertainment? 1995, Serajevo Bosnia, the ERC-90 Sagaie was used with success as direct fire support in the built up area with it's V0 1.350 m/s and max. 30 degrees elevating 90 mm guntube. Africa does not have plenty of well paved runways suitable for jet fighters. The logistic tail of a weapon system like the AH-64 Apache is to complex / large / expensive for sustained operations in Africa or Central-Asia. Air power is still a blunt & expensive tool (approx USD 18.000 per GPS guided 500 pounder or approx USD 40.000 for 1 laser guided 500 pounder). With exception of GPS guided weapons, still depending on good weather. And not allways directly available. A couple of organic ERC-90's will provide relatively cheap (approx USD 2.000 per 90mm round) direct fire support to your platoon or company. Add cage armor to the ERC-90 and a Spectre / Dyneema armor V-shaped plate to it's already shallow V-shaped bottom. And you have an efficient and effective weapon.
It MIGHT be I.E.D. resistant in spite of those big tires (I imagine they would be run flat tires). I like the version with the tank turret and as Locum already pointed out it would provide good (and cheap) fire support.
